Hi, my name is Colleen, welcome to my blog.
I am a Canadian Baby Boomer and I live in Alberta with my husband Jake, my dog Sam and my two cats Pepper & Penny.
I am the Mother of three the Step-Mother of four and the Grandmother of nine.
I am a Writer, Blogger, Cook, Gardener, Social Media Junkie, Political Junkie, Home Reno Junkie, Aspiring Photographer, Lover of both Dogs and Cats, Reader of all things.
I’ve also done a fair bit of travelling, we have been to Holland, England, France and Germany.
Back in 2003 I had a blog called Dreamin and Talkin which I ran for about three years. The main reason for starting it was to communicate with the outside world.
I was not working at the time and I was desperately seeking a serious conversation. Blogging satisfied that need perfectly.
At the time there was an outfit online called the Weblog Review which reviewed Blogs, I believe they still do.
I got them to review my blog and they gave me a 4 out of 5. I have to tell you I was pretty impressed with myself.
I still have the Review here if you are interested you can take a look.
It was a personal blog where I just talked about events in my life and shared my thoughts on issues that I was interested in.
The server that housed my blog crashed and unfortunately everything I had posted up until that point was lost.
I then spent the next ten years as a Legal Assistant for a small law firm, until I was laid off due to a slump in the economy.
I decided to take the opportunity to start blogging again.
I want to write about different topics that have to do with everyday living which is why I classify this as a Lifestyle blog.
Things I love to do, I love to write and research and I love to solve problems. If someone has a problem or if I have a problem that I feel the need to solve I can be like a dog with a bone, I don’t give up until I have found a solution.
I hope to enlighten you and entertain you and possibly help you in solving problems that you may run across.
Please take a moment and subscribe to my blog. You can also leave a comment and let me know what you think.
I hope you enjoy your visit and that you come back often.
